Suddhasattwa Basu

Born in 1956. Painter, illustrator and animation film maker. Studied Fine Arts at the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. Authored and illustrated 'The Song of a Scarecrow' a children's book, which received the Chitra Katha Award in 2003. Received an honourable mention at the Biennale of Illustrations, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. Has been illustrator for leading publications in the country. His animation films have featured in several international film festivals.
