Born in Calcutta in 1958. Studied Fine Arts at the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Calcuta. Recipient of several awards including the Sahitya Kala Parishad Award in 1987, 1988 and 1989, and the AIFACS AWARD for watercolours in 1983 and 1988. Has held several solo exhibitions of his work. His work is represented in private and public collections.
