Born in 1974. Obtained a Bachelor's degree in Clothing & Textiles at MS University, Baroda, and a Master's degree in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising at Eastern Michigan University, USA. Her work has been exhibited at 'Chintz, Cotton in Bloom' at the Fries Museum, The Netherlands, and at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto. Her first solo exhibition, 'The Art of Hand Painted Chintz', was held in 2017 at Gallery Art.Motif, New Delhi. After working with crafts and technical textiles, Renuka now explores the traditional methods of producing chintz, combining her skill and knowledge from diverse experiences. Rediscovering these magnificent textiles, she says "has given me an opportunity to work with my hands, to learn, to experiment, and to discover". Her works are in the collection of the Kiran Nadar Museum and the TAPI collection in India, the Fries Museum in The Netherlands, and the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada.
