Jayashree Chakravarty

Born in 1956. Studied Fine Arts at Santiniketan, and received a post graduate diploma from MS University, Baroda. Received the Gujarat Lalit Kala Akademi Award, and the Second Bharat Bhavan Biennale Award. Was artist-in-residence at Ecole d'Art, Aixen Provence, France, from 1994 to 1996. Has held exhibitions in France and the USA. Her works are in the collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi, and several public and private collections.
