Eric Bowen

1929-2002. Born in Allahabad. Received a National Diploma in Art from Delhi Polytechnic in 1959. Received a scholarship for painting from the Italian Government in 1962-65, and a Norwegian State Scholarship for travel and study in 1977. Received a grant from the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway for the exhibition 'The Right to Life in Peace' at the U.N., Geneva. His work is represented in the collection of the National Gallery, Oslo, the Smithsonian Institute, USA, the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, and several public and private collections.
